The Khaptad National Park is a known religious site for the Hindu pilgrims who come to worship Shiva on the full moon of July-August each year. The philosopher, physician, scientist, and astrologer Khaptad Baba lived in the Ashram based on The Park, where visitors can meditation. Khaptad Daha, Naag Dhunga and Upper Tribeni are the main interesting religious transit in the Park area.

How one’s can one get The Park

To reach the park, visitors must first fly to Dhangadhi by air or by bus, a city located in the Farwest province of Nepal. From Dhangadhi, visitors can take a bus or jeep to the park. The journey takes about 5-6 hours to get Silgadhi, Doti. On the way to Silgadhi is quite scenic, passing through several small villages and terraced fields. Once landed in Silgadhi, you have to climb up hiking to Khaptad national park.

Once inside the park, visitors can choose to stay at one of the park’s several rest houses or camping grounds. The park also offers a variety of guided tours and trekking options, including a 3-day trek to the Khaptad Baba ashram and a 7-day trek to the summit of Khaptad Danda, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
